Alessandra Marconi is a versatile performer and artistic collaborator. Originally from Trenton, Ohio, Ali graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a BA in Communication Arts with Journalism and French minors.
Today, she happily resides in Harlem, New York. She stays quite busy in collaboration with various creative developments and performances. She’s currently found on the Movement Team at Broadway’s Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Other recent work includes Warner Brothers In The Heights (Summer 2020), SORRY by Alejandro Rodriguez, Midsummer Night Swing 2019 Hustle Instructor, iLuminate Artist of Light, Mark Stuart Dance Theater, Crystal Pite's Polaris, and ABC TV’s Dirty Dancing.
Ali’s choreography was recently presented with Al Blackstone for the 2019 Fire Island Dance Festival and made a duet for his concept show, NORMA.
She was thrilled to be the 2018 choreographer for the Drama League Fundraising Gala at the Plaza Hotel honoring Nathan Lane.
In creation, Ali works with Andy Blankenbuehler (Only Gold, Bandstand, Bring It On, CATS, Fosse), Jennifer Jancuska (The BringAbout), Jon Rua (The Grit) and Patricia Birch.
And cooking up something of her own entitled Lily Pond…
Ali produces a mobile social dance event, The Hustle Social. She teaches regular classes in NYC, click the link for more.
She's passionate about passing on a language of partner dancing that unites individuals and together moves communities including New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, Montréal and London.
